Zine culture meets the pre-streaming era CD sleeve! Growing up in the 90s and early 00s, I remember what it was like to buy a CD and listen to the album front-to-back while reading the liner notes in the CD sleeve. I decided to combine my love for CD booklets with my fascination with zine-making to create a tangible experience to accompany the digital album IKOV.
I designed the 20-page 5.5 x 8.5 IKOV lyrics zine containing lyrics, images, and short reflective writing for every song on the album.
I hope you'll do like I used to do and listen to IKOV while reading the zine.

lyrics
Tell me I’m your favorite still
I want to be your favorite still
We used to dance away the days
Now I don’t know
When I close my eyes
Will you still be by my side?
We need a little time to grow
We used to listen to the radio
We used live in happy homes
Now your just a number on my phone
I was too late
And the party was over
And to think I had a drink in my hand
Now I’m going home sober
And I’m dancing alone tonight
It’s okay to be alone tonight
Am I bad for you
Am I just too bad for you?
Am I?
Why you got an attitude?
Young living with an attitude
I’m sick for the limelight
But I’m ill from these long nights
I'm sick for the limelight though
But I'm still ill
I was too late
And the party was over
And to think I had a drink in my hand
Now I’m going home sober
And I’m dancing alone tonight
It’s okay to be alone tonight
And it feels like
And it feels like
And it feels like
Feel-good World
It’s such a feel-good world
I’m tryna heal in this world
But I’m too ill, world
